Getting Around Gabon

Getting to Gabon is not super easy. There are around 19 airports in total in Gabon, but there is not many flights that fly into Gabon that are direct. Once you are inside Gabon, the main trasportation to get around the country is by walking the old roads, taxis, boats and the trans Gabon train. You can alos travel by raft to get to some places near water

Tourist Attractions

Lope National Park is located in the middle of Gabon. It is a wilflife reserve. IT is over 4910km in size and was declared a national park in 2002. The north of the park holds grass savvanhs from the Ice age. The Ogooué River bears trees on each side of its banks, home to birds and 63 species of mammals. 

The National Muesum of Arts and traditions is known for its collection of cutlral masks and tribal crafts. They have founded an online muesum for people to see their artifacts from across the world!

The French culture centre is a venue for big events such as concerts, muscials, conferences and conventions.Film events are also held here

The Akanda National Park is 208 square miles and is perfect for fishing, water sports and dolphin and whale watching. (Right)

Ivindo National Park is 362km and is home to tons of wildlife, including elephants, chimps and more.(Left)
