In Gabon, privacy is neither needed or respected. If someone in Gabon stares at you or at something of yours, they do this when interested in something. It is not an insult when called by your race or asking for something they want such as an article or clothing. People visiting this country may be suprised or even offended by this, but to them, it is totally normal Famous people get the rock star treatment here. They are the first to eat, first to sit, etc.
